How does Right To Roam work?

Right To Roam is a metropolitan festival taking place in Bolton on Friday 7th - 8th July 2023 for the third year running. We’ve curated a lineup of some of the most exciting new bands from Bolton and beyond to take over the town centre for two days. Using the best venues in town, we have over 100 acts ready to fill the stage. To get into all the venues you simply need one wristband to show door staff upon entry which can be collected from our ticket exchange at Bar Four, Market Place.

Where can I collect my wristband?

Wristbands can be collected from our collection desk at Bar Four, The Vaults, The Market Place, Bolton. Collection hours are Friday 1pm-8pm and Saturday 11am – 6pm.

Is there an age restriction?

Our festival is an all ages festival. Children are welcome in all venues for the duration of the event. However, we ask that any children attending are fully under supervision of an adult (with a ticket), at all times.

Can I buy a ticket on the day?

If the festival doesn’t sell out in advance then a number of tickets may be available on the day of the festival at our wristband exchange. However, we strongly recommend that you buy yours in advance to avoid missing out as previous years have sold out quickly.

Where can I find set times for artists?

You can view all the stage times and day splits here on our official clashfinder. Any changes will be reflected her until the start of the festival when we will update any changes on social media.

Can I leave and come back?

The festival is spread out across venues in Bolton and you are free to leave and re-enter venues provided that you retain your wristband. However, please note that venues may fill in your absence and so return entry to a particular venue is not always guaranteed.

Can I bring a backpack?

Venues at Right To Roam may have security checks in place and bag searches at some venues, so please allow time for this. We ask that you try where possible not to bring any bags that are larger than an A4.

Can I play at the festival?

This year’s lineup is already full, however we are always looking for great talent to join us. To declare interest please email office@righttoroambolton.com, or better yet pop down to the festival and say hello to one of the team.
